Saddam Hussein may be gone, but President Bush still has a souvenir he uses to titillate special guests: the pistol Saddam was carrying when he was captured. Like a child showing off his favorite toy, the president has been known to beam with delight when guests view the mounted weapon, which is held in the Oval Office. Link
That’s kinda messed up… esp considering we’re up to 3,000 american soliders dead.. not to mentions 160,000 Iraqi’s, according to some counts..
kind of bizarre to come to the realization it was all about stupid souvenier. someone just shoulda sent him the obligatory ‘i went to iraq and all i got was this lousy t-shirt’ shirt.

hey, J&A2…
i am so excited about the new year!! esp since last year pretty much blew on a personal level, even tho professionally it was pretty productive.
thank you again for the Amazon gift certs!!! tori’s guitar book and electronic tuner are totally missing. ups says i signed for it here, but.. the thing is i don’t have the box. my ‘cute’ ups guy probably intended to deliver it along with some other stuff and i just signed away, blinded by cuteness all the while the package was probably still on the freaking truck. so there ya’ go…….. another lesson learned.. ‘don’t be blinded by ups cuteness’. so i used your gift certs for another guitar book, a tuner, a capo and a dozen guitar picks for tori. the book comes with a dvd.. so all in all…. this package is likely better than the original…..which might just be sitting in the ups man’s house ; )
thanks again…. it was fun.. you know how i love to point and click.. so it was definitely a ‘win-win’.
take care of yourselves… and wishing us all a very happy and healthy 2007!!
(and wishing myself another perfect little niece or nephew!!)
