bush + dictatorial police state on the horizon?

When Bush exercises this authority [under the new Executive Order] … there’s no check to it. It doesn’t have to be ratified by Congress. The people who bear the brunt of these dictatorial police state actions have no recourse to the judiciary. So it really is a form of total, absolute, one-man rule. … The American people don’t really understand the danger that they face.”

Roberts said that because of Bush’s unpopularity, the Republicans face a total wipeout in 2008, and this may be why “the Democrats have not brought a halt to Bush’s follies or the war, because they expect his unpopular policies to provide them with a landslide victory in next year’s election.”

However, Roberts emphasized, “the problem with this reasoning is that it assumes that Cheney and Rove and the Republicans are ignorant of these facts, or it assumes that they are content for the Republican Party to be destroyed after Bush has his fling.” Roberts believes instead that Cheney and Rove intend to use a renewal of the War on Terror to rally the American people around the Republican Party. “Something’s in the works,” he said, adding that the Executive Orders need to create a police state are already in place.

“The administration figures themselves and prominent Republican propagandists … are preparing us for another 9/11 event or series of events,” Roberts continued. “Chertoff has predicted them. … The National Intelligence Estimate is saying that al Qaeda has regrouped. … You have to count on the fact that if al Qaeda’s not going to do it, it’s going to be orchestrated. … The Republicans are praying for another 9/11.”

Cool…. I told my sister and she said that’s what other people have said… that and LeAnne Rimes.

I figured out a name for my blog btw… I called it “StarBoy.” I got the idea from a book I read awhile back called “Star Girl” by Jerry Spinelli and I highly recommend it to you. I think it’s a book you will enjoy. After I finish editing my blog I’ll send you the link.

i read a few pages on amazon… i do think i will like that book.. it kinda reminds me of that book ‘the perks of being a wallflower’… i read that during tori;s bad period and it reminded me of what it was like to be a teenager… how intense and vulnerable and alone and scary it all is…. i am very excited about your blog…. i am sure it will be fantastically interesting ; ) i fired my lawn guy today…. as i found someone cheaper. i didn’t have the heart to tell him the truth so i just told him that i got a new b/f who was going to do it for me and that i’d call him when we broke up. i also changed isp’s yesterday… and did it all over the internet… *snap* – just like that.. didn’t have to talk to a soul.. except for canceling my phone + dsl this morning. now i have that old 1950’s phone with no dial tone… could be useful as a weapon, tho ; ).. you know.. just in case i fail to throw the gun with any accuracy. (lol) i like the star girl logo, too.
